Episode 27. Half a Success (3)

“It hurts.”

Each time he entered, Emilia screamed. No matter how cold-hearted a man was, when a woman trembled all over and cried out, he couldn’t move any further.

“Ha…”

I can’t stop here.

Sweat beaded on Louid’s forehead.

He had put it in, and now she was telling him to stop?

For a man, there was no greater torment. At that moment, he was enduring with every ounce of willpower.

“I feel like I’m going to die.”

“Then we’ll just stay like this.”

He stopped moving and remained still until Emilia calmed down. Only then did her screams subside.

“It really hurt.”

“That doesn’t mean you need to cry.”

Louid’s lips brushed away the tear that slid down her cheek.

‘Did I cry?’

Emilia was startled.

It hurt, but she hadn’t been sad. Then why had she shed tears?

Neither of them knew that even without sadness, tears could flow naturally as a physiological response during intercourse.

Louid lowered his head to her chest and gently sucked her nipple. It was swollen red, as if he had sucked too hard earlier.

“I think it’s a little better now,” Emilia whispered softly.

“That’s a relief.”

But now, he had to put it all in. What was he supposed to do?

His shaft was already halfway inside. To stop here was torture, but if he pushed further, would she cry out in pain again? At this rate, how could he make an heir? If the empire truly fell into the hands of Duke Berthe, the thought made his vision dizzy.

“Do it now.”

Then came the whisper of a devil. The alluring woman who moments ago cried out in pain wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. She even kissed his lips.

“Can you endure it?” Louid asked in warning.

“Yes.”

Emilia didn’t want to end the night like this either. Words like divorce, independence, and freedom spun in her mind. She couldn’t lose this chance.

“Good.”

Naturally, he had no thought of refusing. He began moving again what had paused inside her. In the short time, his shaft had grown even harder.

“Ahh, ahh. I can’t take it.”

“……?”

“Pull it out. Quickly.”

“Ha…”

Barely moving a few times, Louid reluctantly withdrew himself. It demanded tremendous endurance. A sigh escaped his lips.

“I’m sorry.”

Emilia, wishing she could hide in a hole, buried her face in the blanket and curled up on her side.

“Ha…”

Louid, running a hand through his sweat-soaked hair, stared fixedly at one spot. Red liquid was trailing down Emilia’s leg.

“Phew…”

Excitement surged in him, but before he became even more of a beast, he made a decision.

“Sleep first.”

He got up abruptly and strode into the bathroom, closing the door behind him. He didn’t come out for a long time.

‘What do I do? It can’t go on like this…’

Though worried about the future, Emilia quickly felt relief at being freed from the pain. Past her usual bedtime, she fell asleep before Louid returned.

The next morning, Emilia woke to a suffocating feeling of being bound.

“Helen, untie me.”

Helen, who had just entered with tea, freed her from the blanket that had wrapped around her tightly.

“You must have tossed and turned a lot, Your Highness. Hoho, you’re tied up even tighter today.”

Emilia answered gloomily, “Looks like it…”

“Will you wash? I’ll have breakfast ready soon.”

“All right.”

“Ah.”

As she slowly got out of bed and bent forward, Emilia let out a small sound. Even though they hadn’t gone all the way last night, the area between her legs burned with pain, and her whole body felt heavy and sore, as if she had been soaked in water.

“Ha.”

She placed her hand on her waist and walked forward with all her strength. With each step, a sigh escaped her lips. But soon she straightened her posture, pretending nothing was wrong. She didn’t want Helen to notice.

‘But this is strange.’

As she walked to the bathroom, she tilted her head. Somehow, she was wearing a slip she didn’t remember putting on, and between her legs she felt clean and fresh.

‘Did Louid wipe me? Oh no…’

Her face flushed red. If Louid had wiped her, how could she ever face him again?

A moment later, when Helen saw the sheets still marked with traces of the night, she glanced at the closed bathroom door with a knowing smile.

After a simple breakfast of potatoes, Emilia prepared to go to Louid’s office. Her body ached as though she had been beaten, but she thought she needed to get the divorce contract written before he changed his mind.

‘We failed last night, so he might change his mind.’

I have to go quickly. Emilia grew anxious at the thought of Louid’s change of heart.

With a resolute expression, she tied her hair up and put on a light dress before leaving the annex.

“Where are you going, Your Highness?” Helen asked, seeing her hurrying off.

“To the main castle. You don’t need to follow.”

“Yes, then have a safe trip.”

Descending the stairs, Emilia walked toward the main castle with a gait that still looked uncomfortable.

At that time, Louid was looking over documents with a deeply displeased expression.

“Your Highness, is your headache severe? Should I call for the physician?”

Philip, who had brought tea into the office, asked.

“No. My head doesn’t hurt anymore.”

“Is that so? That’s a relief.”

It wasn’t his head that was suffering, but another place.

For the first time, he realized something more frightening than headaches was sexual frustration. It felt like he had gained another chronic illness.

As he was drinking tea, Alex entered the office.

“Your Highness. Regarding the carriage accident from before. There were traces that someone had damaged the wheel joint with a sharp tool.”

“The culprit?”

Louid’s gaze sharpened at Alex’s report.

“We have not identified the culprit. I’m sorry.”

“Was there no suspicious person?”

“No witnesses. We also checked if any suspicious individuals stayed at the inn, but there were none.”

“…I see. Keep investigating.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

After Alex left, Louid fell into silent, serious thought.

“Your Highness, Her Highness has arrived.”

“Let her in.”

Emilia entered Louid’s office, guided by the attendant.

Louid’s office had a large desk and chair, bookshelves filled with books, and a large sofa. On top of the desk were piles of documents.

“Sit.”

Louid glanced at her briefly and pointed to the opposite sofa. His expression was not bright.

“Yes.”

When she sat down, the attendant served tea and refreshments.

Emilia took a sip of tea and looked at the man sitting across from her. No matter how many times she looked, he was handsome. She liked handsome men. Maybe it was because the only men she had seen before were the princes from fairy tale books. But Louid could not become her man. A pity, but that was reality.

Emilia’s body trembled slightly.

“Are you unwell?” Louid asked, noticing her trembling.

“No.”

“I see. Eddie, bring the document.”

“Yes.”

Soon, Eddie brought the document and respectfully handed it over.

“It’s the divorce contract. Read it.”

Louid handed her the document Eddie had prepared.

“Yes.”

Finally, I can get divorced.

With a trembling heart, Emilia began to read the contract.

The contract was written exactly as she had hoped.

[Louid Richert and Emilia Richert will divorce six months after the birth of a child, and Emilia Richert will fulfill the duties of the Grand Duchess until then.

Even after the divorce, Emilia Richert will cooperate with the Grand Duke if needed.

Louid Richert will become Emilia Richert’s patron and ensure her safety and protection.]

That was the content.

“Do I just sign here?”

Emilia hurried to sign the contract. Her future depended on it, so her heart was impatient.

“Check the back page before signing.”

At his words, she turned the page and saw the divorce settlement.

‘He’s giving me… a mine? Is he insane?’

On the back page, the settlement was written: Emilia Richert would be given part of the Grand Duke’s territory and a diamond mine.

“Y-You don’t need to go this far.”

Emilia was so shocked she could barely speak.

“That much is fine.”

“But…”

“I can give you more. If there’s something you want, tell me.”

“N-No. I don’t want anything.”

Though the excessive settlement was burdensome, Emilia decided to sign first. She could always return it later, but for now, she needed the contract signed to feel at ease.

“Wait.”

Just as she was about to sign, Louid snatched the document away.
