I must be Orias’s younger sibling, so where is Orias?

I wanted to ask, but my mouth did not move according to my will.

“Where are we going today?”

“There’s a place that will pay if I run errands for them. I’m going there,” replied the boy as he busily packed his things.

He looked to be barely over ten years old, yet he moved quickly and even straightened my clothes properly.

I was wearing oversized clothing that didn’t fit me.

Was young Haniel meant to have a background of poverty? As I looked at the loose fabric, that thought crossed my mind.

After folding back the sleeves, which covered my hands, about three times, I was finally able to move comfortably.

“Alright. Let’s go.”

“Okay.”

The boy and I stepped out of the house with light footsteps.

“Did Dora unnie tell you about this place?”

“Call her Priest Theodora. She’s someone we should be grateful to, so you should show respect.”

“No, she said I can call her whatever I want.”

<Information acquired.>

  • Priest’s name: Theodora.

<Currently acquired information>

  • Assistance from Priest Theodora.

I wasn’t used to speaking in the childish manner that naturally flowed from my mouth.

As I let my mind drift absentmindedly and observed my surroundings, the system conveniently organized the information I had skimmed past.

Since I didn’t like hearing my own childlike speech, this was actually quite helpful.

If it was going to be like this, I almost wished I could observe as a spirit, like when I had watched young Adrian—but well, there was probably a reason for this setup too.

The system was always trying to guide me in the most efficient way.

Yes, I should think of it positively.

“Orias.”

At that moment, a familiar name slipped from my lips.

Orias? Where?

Snapping out of my thoughts, I immediately looked ahead.

At the end of my gaze, I spotted a head of uniquely colored hair. A shade so pale it looked as if all the pigment had been drained away—pure white.

The child, who had been curled up, slowly lifted his head. His delicate features made it obvious at a glance—he was Orias.

Ah, I found Orias.

But his hair color, his eye color—none of it matched the Orias I knew.

His white hair and red eyes looked strikingly unnatural, almost as if he had albinism.

His face was unmistakably Orias’s, but…

Since he reacted to the name “Orias,” it had to be him, but…

“Why?”

“That kid’s here again.”

The reply came from beside me.

“Don’t mind him. Let’s just go.”

“Orias, wait a moment…”

I clung to the boy’s arm and tugged, my gaze fixed firmly on the golden-haired child.

What was going on? Why was this kid responding to “Orias”?

The situation was so baffling that I felt like my mind was going blank.

Haniel, holding onto the boy’s arm, was calling him “Orias,” yet the person I knew as Orias was glaring at us with menacing eyes.

<Memory Fragment 2 of [Haniel] acquired.>

  • Memories related to the sibling, ‘Orias.’

Just as I was struggling to comprehend the situation, a system window popped up in front of me.

And then, a flood of memories poured into my mind.

They were not about the [Orias] I knew as a capture target, but rather the boy standing in front of me—Orias.

<Memory Fragment 2 has been processed.>

  • You have acquired memories related to [Orias].

<(Mandatory) Event: ‘Erased Memories’ progress updated.>

  • Intermediate reward acquired.
  • [Haniel]’s Memory Fragment 2 acquired.
  • [Haniel]’s unique ability [Memory Manipulation] has been unlocked.

<Memory Manipulation Lv.1>

  • [Haniel]’s unique ability.
  • Lv.1: Can manipulate their own memories.
  • Increases character comprehension.
  • Maximum holy power capacity increased.
  • Maximum level: 3.

<Orias’s mandatory event ‘Erased Memories’ progress updated.>

  • Current progress: 40%.

Memory manipulation was Orias’s ability…

I sorted through the memories that had just surged into my mind.

When I tried to recall information about Orias, the details naturally came to me.

The golden-haired boy standing before me was Orias, Haniel’s older brother.

And just like me, he possessed the same memory manipulation ability that I had just unlocked.

A month ago, my sibling and I had awakened this ability along with our holy power, and the house we were currently living in had been obtained through this ability.

Which meant—the Orias curled up over there wasn’t Haniel’s brother, Orias.

“Can’t we take that kid with us too?”

“No. What would we even do if we brought him along? Priest Theodora is taking us in because we have holy power. She wouldn’t be able to take care of another child.”

“But if he stays there, he looks like he’ll die…”

Then who on earth is that white-haired Orias?

His face was undoubtedly the Orias I knew, yet I couldn’t sense any holy power from him, nor did he have the golden eyes that symbolized divine strength.

The child gazed at us with ominous red eyes.

If I wasn’t this Orias’s younger sibling, then what was the information about being the Pope’s younger sister supposed to mean?

Could it be that, in this R-19 reverse harem game, aside from the protagonist Haniel, there was another character with such an important setting?

It felt like I had just realized that the puzzle I thought I had perfectly assembled was actually put together all wrong. I held onto the misplaced piece in my hand, uncertain.

But the more I thought about it, the more confusing it became. Based on the memory fragment I had just obtained, the golden-haired boy was clearly Orias, yet the Orias I knew was undeniably the white-haired child.

For a brief moment, I recalled what Orias had mentioned in reality about his “nightmares,” but I put the thought on hold.

I didn’t want to make assumptions based on incomplete information.

Since past events were still unfolding, it wouldn’t be too late to gather all the facts and organize my thoughts afterward.

Surely, they wouldn’t just leave him behind like this, right?

Just as I had thought, Haniel’s older brother seriously contemplated Orias’s situation before finally nodding.

“Alright, let’s ask Priest Theodora and decide after that.”

“Thank you, Orias oppa!”

The moment Orias gave his approval, I threw my arms around his neck in delight, then ran toward Orias.

Orias gave permission, and I ran toward Orias…

I struggled to keep my thoughts straight and not confuse the two of them. But their shared name was making things incredibly complicated.

It was far too inconvenient to think of them as the same name.

After a moment of contemplation, I decided to refer to Haniel’s older brother simply as “Brother.” It felt odd to call a boy who looked barely ten years old “Oppa” but whatever—it was more convenient this way.

“Come with us.”

“…Go away.”

“We’re going to the temple later. You should come with us, okay?”

While I was resolving my internal dilemma, I had already approached Orias. Speaking in an innocent tone, I tugged at his hand. His wrist was thin.

Despite being slightly taller than me, he staggered to his feet as if my small strength was enough to make him lose balance.

This frail figure didn’t match the adult Orias at all. The grown-up Orias had no problem carrying me in one arm while wielding—Ah, I should stop thinking about that.

I quickly pushed the unwanted memory away and focused on the young Orias before me.

“That’s dangerous, Haniel.”

“What is?”

“If you suddenly make someone stand up like that, they might collapse. Are you okay?”

My brother scolded me while steadying the swaying Orias, speaking apologetically.

“Sorry, Haniel was a bit too forceful.”

“Let go…”

“Ah, should I carry you? I think I can manage.”

“I said, let go. Listen to people when they talk—”

“Haniel, help me out here.”

“Okay, okay.”

The conversation grew increasingly chaotic.

My brother was calling me reckless, but he wasn’t much better himself. Ignoring Orias’s protests, he simply lifted him onto his back.

Orias struggled for a moment before going limp. He had run out of strength.

“…Where are you taking me? Are you going to sell me off?”

“Huh? No, we’re just running errands.”

“Don’t worry, we’re not going to sell you.”

“If you’re trying to make me do something weird, you guys do it yourselves. Even if I don’t have money, I’m not going to sell my body—”

“Errands involve using your body, though.”

“If you mean spreading your legs for nobles—”

“Haniel, cover your ears!”

Orias, who had been carried on my brother’s back, suddenly muttered in a dark tone.

The moment he said those words, my brother’s face turned red with rage, and he shouted at him.

As soon as he raised his voice, I quickly covered my ears. With my hands pressed firmly against them, all I could hear was the muffled hum of sound.

Blinking blankly, I watched as my brother set Orias down.

Since I had blocked out the sound, I didn’t know what was being said, but judging by the situation, it seemed like my brother was yelling at Orias, demanding to know why he was saying such things.

The scolding went on for quite some time. Watching the two of them, I gradually relaxed my hands and let them drop.

“Do you even know how old she is? Do you think I’d ever force my little sister into something like that?”

“You might.”

Following my brother’s outraged voice, Orias’s flat, sarcastic reply came next.

My brother, about to retort, suddenly turned to look at me.

“Haniel, when did you stop covering your ears?”

“Just now…”

“You…”

“But didn’t you say we’re running late?”

When I spoke in a small voice, my brother snapped back to attention. He quickly hoisted Orias back onto his back.

“This is bad. The priest specifically told us not to be late…!”

After that, we hurried toward our errand location without any further distractions, but it was already too late. We were scolded and sent away without being able to complete the task.

I was discouraged, but my brother looked even more crestfallen than me. Even Orias, who had been sarcastic and cynical ever since he was dragged along with us, fell silent and watched nervously.

“I told you to go away.”

Avoiding my brother, I stuck close to Orias.

He mumbled in a small voice, trying to push me away, but when my brother looked at him with his dejected eyes, Orias shut his mouth.

Later that afternoon, Priest Theodora came to visit our house after hearing the news.

“Orias, Haniel.”

She called our names as she entered, then furrowed her brows.

She must have had trouble spotting us in the dark room, as there were no candles lit.

I, already adjusted to the darkness, observed Theodora closely.

I had called her “Unnie,” but she looked too old for that title.

She was carrying food in her arms, and as she saw our gloomy expressions, her face twisted in displeasure.
