Chapter 78
Heavy rain hammered against the transparent ceiling. The downpour that began in the evening showed no sign of easing. Blair stared blankly up at the cascading droplets and slid her fingers into the man’s hair covering her.
“Ahh….”
It was impossible to hold back the moan. No matter how secluded it was, the space was open on all sides. And there were people working here. Someone might see them. None of that mattered. It was the same for Edmund.
He pushed into her at a slow pace, thrusting repeatedly all the way to the deepest point. He pulled out long again, then forced his way back in, spreading her tight inner walls and battering her delicate flesh again and again. Each movement of his hips sent waves of bliss crashing through her. Her toes trembled, and she tightened around him without meaning to.
“Blair, just a little.”
“Ahh….”
“Try to relax. When you squeeze like this, it’s hard to move.”
“Mmgh….”
“Are you doing this on purpose?”
The man muttered low, sat upright, and lifted her pale legs onto his shoulders. When he snapped his hips forward like that, pleasure bordering on impact slammed into her. Blair gasped, her brows twisting tight. With the deeper penetration, their soaked flesh slapped together. Even then, their gazes stayed locked as if tied by an invisible thread.
It was slightly different from their first time, when they’d both lost their minds and driven each other to the point of ecstasy. At least, that’s how Blair felt. It wasn’t so much that she’d grown accustomed to taking his thick shaft…. It felt like communion. A sticky connection of body and soul, confirming each other.
She liked that. She liked it so much that the heat rose stronger than when he’d kissed her below. She wished it would stay only a thought, but the cock sliding in and out of her thoroughly lubricated walls grew slick and glossy, dripping her juices steadily. Breathing low and slow, the man dropped his gaze to where they were joined without a gap. There was a faint hint of amusement in his eyes.
“What were you thinking to get this worked up?”
“Mm….”
“I’m curious. Answer me.”
“Be because it feels good….”
“Because of the feeling?”
He grabbed the legs dangling over his solid shoulders and spread them wide. Keeping his hips moving, he reached down and rubbed her swollen clit. Blair barely managed to swallow the cry threatening to spill out.
“…Haah, more than that, ah….”
Edmund rolled the foreskin back with his thumb, brushed the exposed tip, then resumed thrusting into her drenched entrance. Being stimulated in her most sensitive places at once, white lightning flashed before her eyes. Overwhelmed by the unbelievable pleasure, she grabbed his strong wrist on instinct.
“Ahh, ngh, y-you… I like you….”
The confession came out suddenly. Her voice shook, the words slurred, but there was no way he hadn’t understood. The movement driving into her while rubbing her swollen flesh faltered for a brief moment.
Edmund looked quietly down at Blair twitching beneath him. Seizing that pause, Blair carefully reached up. Just like he’d done earlier, she gently touched his sharply contoured face.
He really was a striking man. Beneath his straight forehead sat thick brows, and though his features weren’t gentle, the long lines of his eyes, the ashen gaze they held, and his high nose bridge were all outstanding. No wonder she’d fallen for him…. Blair’s fingers, which had been roaming over him without missing a spot, came to rest on his full lips. The only soft place on a man’s body. As she cupped his cheek in her palm and slowly traced his lips with her thumb, he scattered his breath as if it tickled.
Below, tangled together slickly, giving and receiving tender touches, there was nothing laughable about it. The feelings he’d kept hidden for so long spilled out once the floodgates opened.
“I really like you.”
Her heart pounded so hard it hurt. She could tell it was the same for him. The broad chest of the man who drew in a deep breath rose and fell heavily.
Maybe, maybe from the moment they first met…. The love caught on the tip of her tongue never quite made it into sound. Just then, Edmund bent his upper body down sharply and kissed her as if he were desperately searching for breath. Like someone who’d been plunged deep into dark water for a long time and had finally managed to surface, he frantically sought out Blair’s lips and pressed his mouth to hers. Their tongues tangled all the way to the root as he sucked her in, and below, he picked up the pace, driving into her as if to pin her down.
“Hhng, ngh, ah, aaah…!”
Unable to hold back, she burst out something that could barely be called a moan, clutching his shoulders in a mess. The wet sounds of their bodies slapping together sped up, his black hair shaking up and down before her eyes. When he finally groaned, she felt his member throb and pulse deep inside her. Blair panted and wrapped both legs around Edmund’s waist, pulling him close. From their chests pressed tightly together, the rapid pounding of his heart carried through.
“…Haa….”
“Blair.”
“….”
“Don’t fall asleep.”
Her eyelids kept fluttering shut as he whispered something in her ear. Blair tried to stay conscious somehow, but she couldn’t chase away the dull exhaustion that followed the lightning strike of pleasure.
And his voice scattered faintly into the air. Blair couldn’t even tell whether it was a dream or reality.

The woman who fell asleep in his arms only stirred and opened her eyes about two hours later. Edmund, who’d been brushing Blair’s golden brown hair back from her ear over and over, lowered his gaze. He’d been worried the whole time that sleeping on the sofa instead of a bed might be uncomfortable.
Blair wriggled while lying with her head on Edmund’s arm, then the moment their eyes met, she leaned in and pressed a kiss to his lips. It was a cute kiss, like something a child might give, and a smile slipped out of him on its own. She looked at him with clear eyes.
“This is the first time I’ve seen you smile like this.”
“Is it?”
“You should smile more.”
“Then you should stay by my side.”
As if she’d heard an unexpected confession, Blair’s eyes widened. After staring back and forth between his eyes for a long while, a bright smile spread across her face. When she kissed him again and again, he quietly opened his mouth and accepted her.
Something far too earnest to call mere desire boiled up inside him once more. Even knowing that every time he held her, he was sinking deeper, he couldn’t stop. Even knowing how dangerous it was, that this small warmth could swallow him whole, he didn’t know how to let go.
“It’s still raining.”
Blair murmured while gazing up at the transparent roof of the rear garden where raindrops kept falling, but Edmund couldn’t bring himself to focus.
“I suppose it is.”
“They say downpour stops quickly, but it’s still… Edmund? Where are you going?”
When he suddenly scooped up the body leaning against him, Blair asked in a puzzled voice. The two of them were still completely naked.
“The garden’s cold. There’s no bedding, just a sofa. It’s uncomfortable.”
Answering plainly, he pushed open the glass door while holding the naked woman in his arms. As they returned to the corridor and walked through the townhouse interior lit by faint, flickering lights, Blair looked more than a little flustered.
“Uh… shouldn’t we at least put on clothes before someone sees….”
“Now you’re worrying about appearances? After screaming and doing everything back there?”
“Ah, um. Still….”
“Later. Even if you put them on now, you’ll just take them off again.”
Edmund headed for his bedroom on the first floor. It was a space where he’d never once let anyone enter, a man who always kept a strict distance from others. Not servants, and not even his closest friend, Benjamin, had ever set foot inside.
Click. Reaching back, he shut the bedroom door behind them and walked toward the bed. Blair, who’d been flustered, now looked around his bedroom with curious eyes. Of course, she wasn’t given that leisure for long.
“…Ah.”
The moment he laid her down on the bed as if throwing her onto it, he cupped her face and claimed her lips. He truly seemed addicted to this. Whenever he was swallowed by shadows of unknown origin, holding Blair made it bearable. In those moments, he could forget the anxiety gripping him.
“Ah, Ed….”
As he immediately thrust his menacingly aroused member inside her, the woman’s voice cut off despite herself. Even that tender sound made his chest ache tightly.
He couldn’t bear this kind of warmth. Whenever the illusion of being loved crept in, he inevitably wanted to confirm it. How far she could endure, how much of him she could bear. He wanted to dig in deeper, crush her, and see it through to the end.
Even if it meant destroying her.
