The Princess's Private Tutoring - Chapter 8
Episode 8. The First Lesson
‘That’s not a valid excuse. Parental opposition is merely fuel for love between lovers.’
Besides, what’s a little hardship when trying to win a beautiful woman?
To the four dreaming of a romantic romance, that kind of obstacle only made the love burn hotter.
It was frustrating not knowing what Killian was thinking.
Celestia let out a deep sigh.
I was a fool to expect advice from these four.
So smitten with her, they could never understand Killian’s heart, and thus, coming up with a surefire way to seduce him was impossible.
“Enough. I’ll think about it on my own.”
Celestia trudged over to the sofa.
“We can’t leave our troubled princess alone. You’re already perfect as you are, but let’s try transforming, considering the average man’s taste.”
At least Lady Eldorado was better.
She had enjoyed reading lewd and depraved novels even before marriage.
‘If it’s her…’
Celestia held a sliver of hope.
“Maybe we’ve been thinking of Sir Killian as too refined.”
‘Kidnapping as the start of married life.’
‘Our lady has changed… into something raunchier.’
It was hard to believe such novels could help, but still, Celestia clung to hope.
With a warrior’s vigor, Lady Eldorado flung open the door to Celestia’s dressing room.
“This one, and this one, and thiiiis one!”
She inspected Celestia’s dresses one by one and shook her head firmly.
“Each suits you perfectly, Your Highness, but they won’t appeal to men. Especially adult men.”
Her words and demeanor exuded professionalism, leaving everyone else overwhelmed. They all held their breath and listened.
“Can we summon a seamstress and a designer right now?”
Thus began Celestia’s transformation.
***
Celestia and Killian’s first lesson was held in a conference room usually used for hosting major state guests.
It was a spacious hall, as large as a banquet room, with a massive table stretching at least 10 meters.
As it was a place for meetings, it was neat in a good way, but to Celestia, it felt barren.
‘Even the faintest trace of romance would flee from here.’
Her expression darkened upon seeing the room.
Killian had chosen the location, and his desire to keep his distance from Celestia was reflected in full.
He planned to seat her at the head of the table, and naturally, his seat was at the opposite end.
When Celestia learned this in advance, her face puffed up.
“This is too much. Does he hate seeing my face that much?”
“You’ll change his mind today. You even learned the attitude to match the dress. You’ve got this, Your Highness.”
Lyla cheered her on. Anne also clenched both fists and nodded.
As Celestia glanced back at them, she caught sight of her reflection in the window.
The dress that revealed every curve of her body felt quite embarrassing.
‘Apparently it’s in fashion abroad, but how do they wear something so uncomfortable?’
With the narrow skirt hem, even walking wasn’t easy.
‘But if Sir Killian would see me as a woman…’
She could endure the discomfort.
In Celestia’s view, the biggest obstacle to progress with Killian was that he still saw her as a “child.”
‘He still sees me as that six-year-old girl.’
The Celestia who begged him to marry her, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Breaking that image and appealing to him as a grown woman required a transformation.
But was this really the best she could do?
Celestia kept pulling up the slipping shoulder strap. When she did, the exposed upper chest became slightly more covered.
“Your Highness, if it slips, let it. Don’t pull it up, that’s what Lady Eldorado advised.”
Anne quickly reminded her of Lady Eldorado’s advice.
“He’s not even here yet. Give me a shawl. This is too uncomfortable.”
Anne draped a shawl over Celestia’s bare shoulders.
“At this rate, we’ll be late.”
Celestia lifted her skirt.
As her slender calves were revealed, gasps came from all directions, and heads turned.
Lyla’s eyes narrowed into triangles.
‘Even before seducing Sir Killian, she’s already got every man in the palace hooked. How dare they!’
She stepped behind Celestia to shield her. Once the smooth calves were hidden by the voluminous skirt, the gazes scattered.
Celestia grumbled about the dress being uncomfortable, but Lyla admitted one thing.
‘Men really do like it. I just hope Sir Killian is an ordinary man too.’
That was Lyla’s earnest wish.
***
“Inappropriate attire.”
Lyla’s wish was utterly shattered.
Killian was not an ordinary man.
He frowned the moment he saw Celestia.
His voice, full of disbelief, was an added bonus.
“You plan to attend class wearing that?”
“Sir Killian, can you even see me?”
Celestia, who had just entered the room, craned her neck and shouted.
She knew the conference room was large. But since she had only ever seen it filled with people, she hadn’t realized it was this spacious.
Her voice echoed.
In the empty conference room, Killian stood at the far end, opposite the door.
“Yes, I see you perfectly. Now please go change.”
“I didn’t know there was a dress code for our lessons.”
“There wasn’t, but there is now. Cover everything from your neck to your toes.”
“Lyla, did I move into a convent?”
Celestia turned to her maid in disbelief.
She hadn’t expected compliments.
But wasn’t this reaction a bit much?
Before she realized it, sarcasm slipped from her lips.
“If you’re not going to follow my instructions, we can end today’s lesson here.”
“What did you say?”
Killian crossed the room toward Celestia.
He was simply approaching to leave, but as his figure grew clearer, Celestia’s heart beat uncontrollably.
‘So proper.’
Seeing his impeccable attire, Celestia felt a little self-conscious.
Still, she held her head high with pride.
Her graceful neckline, collarbone, and upper chest were fully exposed.
A twitch appeared under Killian’s eye.
Did the maids have any sense?
Putting Celestia in such… such an indecent outfit that aroused lust…
Killian clenched his jaw.
“Is it really that bad?”
Celestia’s voice trembled slightly, wounded.
As if that could be… Killian swallowed the answer rising to his throat and kept silent.
Celestia would look beautiful even draped in a rag.
But he couldn’t say that aloud.
If he denied it, she’d show up in outfits like this every time.
Celestia sighed as she waited for an answer.
“Fine. I’ll go change.”
The one who loves more loses. Celestia turned away, swallowing her sorrow.
Too embarrassed, she wanted to flee the scene quickly and took a long stride. It was a habitual movement.
Then she lost her balance.
She had forgotten how narrow the skirt was.
“Ahh!”
With a scream, Celestia toppled forward.
“Your Highness!”
Killian quickly caught her.
There was no time to wonder how he had crossed the distance so fast.
The moment he grabbed her, he let go again. Her bare skin against his hand was too stimulating.
“Sir Killian?!” Celestia shouted in shock.
Startled, Killian caught her again, but her balance was already lost.
At this rate, she’d fall!
He had no choice but to wrap his arms around Celestia’s waist and turn their bodies.
The two of them fell to the floor, tangled together.
So much had happened in such a short time.
With a loud thud, Lyla and Anne rushed in from outside.
“Are you all right, Your Highness!”
“Duke! My goodness, I’ll fetch a doctor!”
Lyla and Anne fussed one after another.
The impact was significant, having landed on the marble floor, but Killian’s body was fine.
The problem was his mind.
Celestia lay completely on top of him.
Her ample chest pressed tightly against his ribcage.
The top of her head was right under his chin. Her voluminous hair tickled his neck and jaw.
Her beautiful figure and the sweet scent of a woman left Killian flustered.
