Ha.

Elation overflowed in his heart as the urge to release surged. Unable to feel satisfied, he asked again.

“Do you love me?”

“Uh, hhnn….”

“Say that you love me.”

Like someone starved for affection, he kept wanting to hear Eloise confirm her love. Maybe it was because a trace of anxiety still lingered, or maybe, as the one who loved more deeply, this anxiety was something that would last forever. Even so, he wanted to hear her say it out loud, to confirm her love and soothe the unease.

Panting through breath mixed with moans, Eloise wrapped her arms tightly around his neck.

Whether she couldn’t speak because he kept thrusting even as he asked, or whether she was hesitating about answering, he didn’t know. He didn’t rush her. Even if the anxiety didn’t disappear, he could wait as long as it took.

Then, a beat later… no, two beats later… a small whisper brushed his ear.

“…I love you.”

Ah.

Unable to hold back, he checked Eloise’s face. Her cheeks were flushed red as she avoided his gaze. She was embarrassed. His heart swelled with happiness and emotion so intensely that he didn’t know what to do with it. He held her and smothered her in kisses and thrusts. Pouring out his emotions and desires, he drove her into overwhelming pleasure.

“Aah, Nar… di, hngh…!”

“I love you more.”

Wanting to give her nothing but joy and happiness, he thrust with all his strength. Reaching deep into the invisible, intimate part of her, he rubbed his member against her. At the same time, her inner flesh repeatedly stimulated the head and shaft of his length.

“Haa…!”

Just when everything was at its peak, Eloise reached her climax and arched her body.

Her tightening flesh clenched around his thick length in rapid contractions, sucking and scraping along it. Her transparent, unmistakable reactions squeezed his release out of him. The wild convulsions of her walls overstimulated him, and the climax he had been holding back burst. Heated release flooded into her with every fierce thrust.

“….”

The extreme pleasure made his breath catch.

No matter how he thought about it, he and Eloise fit together too perfectly. As he released over and over, his thoughts drifted automatically to some point in the future. He pictured Eloise once he stopped using contraception one day. Receiving the release he poured deep inside, becoming pregnant, her belly swelling as she grew round with a child.

The perverted fantasy made him hard again.

Maybe just one more time before feeding her.

Holding her small, soft body, he lifted her and spoke again.

“I love you.”

To the one he could say it to thousands, tens of thousands of times and still never feel it was enough.

Epilogue

[Don’t mind the request I made before.

Let’s pretend none of it ever happened.

I hope you forget it.]

In the morning sunlight streaming through the research lab window, I reread the queen’s brief letter.

Three days ago, after completing the subjugation mission and returning, Nardi spoke with me and then immediately informed everyone.

That the two of us were dating.

Since he was already such a well-known figure, the news spread with wings, and as I had hoped, it seemed to have reached the queen as well. According to the original plan, I was supposed to go to the queen’s palace this evening to meet her, but early this morning, the queen’s messenger came to our house. The appointment was canceled, and the letter delivered contained these words.

To ignore the request… or rather, the order or the threat. To pretend none of it had happened.

“….”

Nardi had been right.

I didn’t have to do anything extreme. Just the fact that word spread that he and I were dating was enough to make the queen lower her tail. I was happy about it, of course it was great, but honestly, I also felt a little deflated.

To think it would be solved this easily….

Everything I’d agonized over, the struggles I had pushed through in my own way, suddenly felt meaningless.

And even though I’d escaped from the queen’s grasp, the problem itself wasn’t fundamentally resolved, so a lingering unease remained.

“What are you thinking about so hard?”

Nardi, who had been reading the letter beside me, asked curiously.

“I just… it all worked out somehow, but I don’t think the queen will give up on her plan entirely. She’ll probably find another wizard like me and order them to make the poison.”

Even though it had nothing to do with me anymore, now that I knew, a corner of my mind felt uneasy. The queen would probably find another wizard, threaten them, and force them to make the poison, or if that wasn’t possible, she would try something else to kill the king’s mistress and her child.

“You were worrying about it again? Don’t worry. A genius wizard like you, Eloise, is rare. The queen will never get her hands on that poison.”

Well, considering how absurdly strict the conditions of the poison she wanted were, it was true that no one else would likely be able to make it.

“That’s true, I guess…? And it’d be difficult to try another method so easily.”

Unless absolute secrecy and safety were guaranteed, she wouldn’t be able to move recklessly. Since her own safety was also on the line, even as the queen, she had no choice but to act cautiously. Just as she hadn’t been able to act until now, she would likely remain quiet for a while.

“Of course. The queen won’t be able to do anything.”

His tone was so certain that it made me pause.

“How do you know?”

“She won’t be able to do anything foolish… no, she won’t do anything. I have a feeling.”

Suspicious.

He’d changed his wording mid-sentence, which made it even stranger, and just as I was about to ask further, he suddenly pulled me into a tight hug.

“You don’t have to worry about anything. Eloise, you only need to trust me.”

Which only made me more suspicious, and as I tilted my head, click- the research lab door opened.

“…!”

Startled, I immediately jumped away from him to put some distance between us.

Fortunately, Lupina and Mireille, who entered together, didn’t seem to have seen anything.

“Hello.”

“Good morning! You two came in early!”

“Yes.”

“You’re arriving together today too.”

“We met just outside! The weather’s amazing today!”

“It really is.”

Listening mostly to the conversation between Nardi and Lupina, I naturally made my way to my seat.

Now that Lupina and Mireille also knew that Nardi and I were dating, I still wasn’t shameless enough to engage in displays of affection in front of my colleagues in the Magic Tower’s research lab. I intended to keep proper boundaries so the two of them wouldn’t feel awkward or uncomfortable. Although sometimes, Nardi didn’t cooperate….

The reason we’d been found out before we even said anything was also because of Nardi.

“Isn’t it nice now that it’s out? Honestly, I feel relieved!”

When we first told her, Lupina hadn’t even been slightly surprised and reacted positively.

“Yes, um… you already knew, didn’t you?”

“Of course….”

As expected, Lupina had known from the beginning. Mireille, who stayed quiet without saying anything, seemed to know too.

Even though we’d been careful again and again while keeping the relationship a secret, I wondered where we’d been caught.

“…How did you find out?”

“Nardi made it too obvious he liked you, so there was no way not to notice! Sometimes, whenever something happened, he only ever looked at you, Eloise.”

“….”

“But what made me completely certain the two of you were dating was something else. I saw you two taking a walk in the research building garden… and Nardi kissed you on the head, hehe.”

“I’m sorry.”

I apologized instinctively. When I glared at Nardi, he flinched and apologized with me.

“I’m sorry….”

He sounded like he was apologizing to me too, as he should.

I told him we had to be careful at the Magic Tower because someone might see us by accident. But he insisted it was fine because there were lots of trees in the garden, and then he went on kissing and hugging me… and in the end, someone else witnessed our embarrassing moment. I felt genuinely sorry toward Lupina.

“No, it’s fine! Honestly, I really enjoyed it! Watching young lovers….”

“You looked like you enjoyed it very much.”

“It was the joy of my life!”

I didn’t know if she was saying that on purpose to keep me from feeling bad or if she truly found it entertaining, but thankfully, Lupina was generous enough to let it go with a smile.
