As soon as the time came to use the ability again, I went down to the garden with Dion.

“Shall we try going left?”

Dion, having stepped into the maze, looked around and spoke. The moment we entered, a fork in the path greeted us. I checked the direction Dion pointed to and shook my head.

<Use of the ability ‘Eyes of the Wraith’ is recommended.>

From the moment I stepped into the garden, the system had been urging me to use the ability.

There must be something that could only be seen with the ability.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.

‘Use Eyes of the Wraith.’

As the duration of the ability increased, the shape behind Dion became clearer and clearer.

What had first looked like a faint blur was now gradually taking on a human form.

I was afraid of what form it would take this time.

“…Gasp!”

Just as I was preparing myself and cautiously opening my eyes, I drew in a sharp breath at the sight of the woman right before me. The figure, now clear enough to distinguish gender, was swaying in the air behind Dion.

Her drooping toes didn’t touch the ground. The woman stared at me for a moment, then released her grip from Dion’s neck and floated forward.

It was as if she wanted me to follow.

“…That way.”

I grabbed Dion’s arm and pointed in the direction the woman moved.

Ugh, she looked scarier than I expected.

Dion seemed puzzled that the fingers grabbing his arm were trembling, but he quietly followed my lead.

Thank goodness his affection had increased—if Dion had brushed off my hand, this would have gone very differently.

If he hadn’t been by my side, I would’ve been too scared to follow her and collapsed on the spot.

As I trembled and kept my head down, staring only at my toes, I saw the pale feet swaying in the air and looked up out of fear.

“Urgh.”

Oh no, what is this.

I lifted my gaze from her feet only to realize the woman’s body was facing me. Caught off guard, I groaned and clung tightly to Dion’s arm.

Ugh, this is insane. She’s so much scarier than I imagined.

Even though I knew she wasn’t malicious, the visual shock was overwhelming. I had no tolerance for ghosts or gory scenes in horror films either.

Dion asked with concern and supported me, “Saintess, are you feeling unwell? Your face is pale. Your hands are cold, too…”

The woman’s face was pointed toward me, and my body trembled uncontrollably.

“I-I’m okay.”

“You can’t even walk properly. What part of that is okay?”

“I-I’m really okay.”

“Stop saying you’re okay when you’re clearly not. If you’re struggling, just say so.”

Dion said as he swiftly lifted me into his arms. Even as I trembled in his embrace, he avoided my eyes and held me tightly.

“Just tell me where we need to go.”

“Uh…”

“Where should I go?”

“To the right…”

I stammered. Maybe because I was suddenly being carried, the fear that had frozen my brain started to ease a little.

Dion was holding me so tightly that I felt safe. But as soon as we turned a corner and saw the woman again, my heart raced violently.

The fear hadn’t completely disappeared—just slightly diminished.

The woman moved through the maze without stopping. Right, left—she continued until she finally halted.

The end of the maze was a greenhouse.

Dion, still holding me, pushed the door open with his shoulder, and a wave of warm air washed over us. The greenhouse was filled with blooming flowers, but there was no time to take in the surroundings—she was already approaching me.

<Event – Character [Dion] Mansion Search (2) – complete.>

<You have received your reward.>

<Dion’s affection has increased.>

  • Reward: You have obtained information on the ‘escape method’.

The woman silently looked down at me, still in Dion’s arms. A system window appeared before her, flashing.

<Reward: You may now view the information on the ‘escape method’.>

Grateful for the system window that blocked my view, I checked the escape method.

<Escape Method: By reenacting the ‘wedding’, you can return to your original location.>

The moment I confirmed the method, my body began to move on its own.

Ah, it’s starting again.

<Special Event ‘Wedding’ is in progress.>

“Huh?”

The moment Dion’s arms lost strength and let go of me.

“W-wait. This is…”

Realizing something was off, Dion muttered in confusion.

“This is exactly like that dream…!”

Yeah, it’s just like that situation a few days ago. Still, having experienced it once before, I’m quicker at grasping what’s happening this time.

I felt a sense of solidarity with Dion, who was clearly bewildered, and calmly accepted the situation.

If we just reenact the wedding, we can return to where we came from—

It’s easier than I thought.

“Ahk!”

“It’s the greenhouse you wanted so badly. You should take a better look, hm?”

“N-no, I hate this…”

It was worse than I thought.

He said it was a wedding, but who has sex during a wedding?!

I could understand why the woman had rejected the head of the family. A man who would jump on someone like this without any sense of propriety—he was more than worthy of being rejected.

Dion, now playing the head of the family, whispered lewd lines into my ear that didn’t suit him at all. This was all the fault of that so-called family head.

The man was undoubtedly the worst kind of trash. Forcing a woman into marriage was bad enough, but now he was having sex during the wedding?

He had to be insane!

Even though I knew I needed to sort through the information being fed to me, I couldn’t help but feel furious.

I needed to figure out the relationship between the man and the woman, but the man’s disgusting behavior made my anger boil over.

“Didn’t I give you exactly what you wanted?”

Dion, pounding into me with forceful thrusts, spoke in a breathless voice. The hand gripping my hair yanked my head back sharply.

Even during sex, this lord’s actions were excessively aggressive.

Dietrich, who liked things rough, never handled me this violently. Unlike Dietrich, who kept things balanced so we could enjoy it together, Dion—recreating the head of the family—had no concept of moderation.

He only seemed to care about doing as he pleased.

My neck hurt from being yanked around by his rough grip. It was obvious he had no regard for his partner.

Even while he gripped my hair tightly, Dion’s hips kept moving back and forth.

“Haa, ugh… ngh!”

“Put strength in your legs and stand properly. It’s hard to put it in.”

“S-stop…!”

I shook my head and resisted, but I couldn’t escape from Dion’s grip. As my waist gave out and I started to collapse, Dion propped me up with one hand and forced me to stand again.

With trembling legs, I barely managed to stay upright, gritting my teeth.

Once this is over, I can leave—just a little more. The real Dion isn’t doing this to me.

If it weren’t his body moving right now, I’d have bitten off that bastard family head’s dick already.

Clenching my teeth, I burned with vengeful fury against the head of the family.

<Special Event “Wedding” – Progress 70%>

Watching the percentage inch upward was my only solace.

Every now and then, I could hear Dion murmur apologies as he briefly regained control of the situation.

I endured it by listening for Dion’s real voice.

Dietrich had spent the entire day and night trying to open a door that wouldn’t budge.

No matter what he did, the room where Dion and the Saintess were said to be wouldn’t open.

Giving up on the door, Dietrich decided to find another route. There had to be a window—he could go in that way.

Growing anxious from the locked door, Dietrich pressured the butler.

“Isn’t there an external passage?”

“There’s a terrace.”

“I’ll try going there.”

The butler, saying nothing more, guided him.

The terrace visible from the garden was firmly shut. No sound came from inside. Heavy curtains blocked the window. It gave the impression that whoever was inside didn’t want to be seen.

Recalling what Dion had said before entering the room, the butler spoke to Dietrich.

It was a comment born from the fear that Dion might be in bed with the Saintess.

“Perhaps it would be best to wait until Lord Dion comes out with the Saintess…”

With the Holy Kingdom and Empire at odds, if news got out that Dion had gotten involved with the Saintess, it wouldn’t look good for anyone.

And if word spread that something like this happened in the mansion while the matriarch was away, the butler’s own neck could be on the line.

Though the butler spoke with unease, Dietrich had already found a way up to the terrace.

He easily climbed a tree whose branches reached the terrace and leapt down onto it.

The butler paced the garden below in distress.

Dietrich, now standing on the terrace, could see the two figures inside through the curtain.

“Dion…?”

Dion and the Saint were inside. They were there, yes, but…

Dietrich stared in a daze at the unexpected scene, then quickly broke the window and jumped in.

The heavy curtain fluttered in the wind. Annoyed, Dietrich roughly brushed it aside.

As he stepped through the shattered window, the Saintess—who was in the middle of dealing with Dion—called out to him in a desperate voice.

“Dietrich, don’t just stand there—help me stop Dion!”
