“Is it really okay to wear these here?”

I asked as I looked at the shoes Adrian had prepared for me. The firm soles made a dull sound whenever they touched the floor. In the nearly silent room, my footsteps sounded excessively loud.

As I tested them by tapping my feet, I tilted my head toward Adrian.

Are you sure I can wear these? Doesn’t the noise bother you?

“Walk to the other side and come back.”

“Just over there?”

Turning to look at Adrian, I walked forward. He watched me with a serious expression, and as I returned, he furrowed his brows briefly before relaxing his expression and answering.

“They’re fine.”

“They sound a bit loud to me.”

Lifting one foot, I reached out to steady myself against Adrian. Supporting myself on him, I turned my head to check the heel of the shoe.

The sound seems too loud when I walk.

“No, they’re just right.”

This didn’t seem like the type of shoes someone like Adrian, who disliked noise enough to make visitors change into quieter footwear, would prepare.

I don’t understand what’s so good about them. To test further, I deliberately stepped harder on the floor while looking at Adrian.

My gesture was clearly asking whether he really liked them, but he remained unbothered and replied indifferently.

“From now on, wear those shoes whenever you enter this building.”

“Well, they are more comfortable, so I don’t mind…”

I was more worried about whether the noise would bother Adrian. As I kept staring at the shoes with a concerned expression, Adrian suddenly lifted me up and carried me back to my seat.

“They really are fine.”

Just like before, he seated me comfortably on his lap and whispered softly. After checking that the shoes fit properly, he sighed lightly as he looked at the messy stack of documents on his desk.

“More importantly, the documents are a mess now.”

“Haha… yeah.”

Thank goodness.

I smiled and nodded. The once neatly stacked papers were now in complete disarray. Adrian, frowning at the scattered sheets, let out a deep sigh before pulling me into a tight embrace.

“Saintess, don’t you have a power that restores documents to their original state?”

If I had such an ability, I wouldn’t have needed to kiss him out of panic earlier.

Seeing Adrian’s exhausted expression, I smiled and shook my head lightly.

“Sorry, but no.”

“You can turn back time, though.”

“I told you, that’s not my power. Come on, stop complaining and get back to work. A lot of time has already passed.”

Adrian rested his head on my shoulder before slowly lifting it again. He gazed at me with a forlorn expression.

“I’d love to help, but I can’t touch those classified documents.”

“Yes.”

“Oh, if I stay here, you’ll be even more distracted. Adrian, I’ll sit over there…”

“No, just stay like this.”

I really wanted to help process the case quickly. However, all I could do now was refrain from teasing Adrian and quietly remain in place.

As I tried to get up, Adrian quickly wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me back into his embrace. Blinking in surprise, I looked up at him.

“You like this?”

“Yes.”

I glanced down at his firm arms wrapped around my waist and asked, and he answered without hesitation.

He didn’t seem to have any intention of letting go.

Well, if that’s what he wants.

Relaxing my legs, I leaned against Adrian.

<The longer the contact time with the capture target ‘Adrian,’ the lower his ‘Resentment’ value decreases.>

  • If ‘Resentment’ falls below ‘Affection,’ a new route will unlock.
  • Current Resentment: 140
  • Current Affection: 100 (Maximum reached)

<‘Resentment’ decreases by 1 per unit of contact time.>

Resting against Adrian’s chest, I wiggled my fingers while reading the system window.

This is easy. I just have to stay close to him.

“You told me not to look at the documents, so I’ll just nap here for a bit.”

“Go ahead.”

“Work hard.”

“…Yes.”

As I lifted my head and lightly kissed Adrian’s chin, he responded in a slightly slower tone.

<Adrian’s ‘Resentment’ has dropped below 99!>

<A new route has been unlocked!>

<Adrian’s route ‘End of Waiting’ has been created!>

  • Progress: 75%
  • This route allows multiple captures.

Having clung to Adrian for so long, I quickly checked the system window before slipping out of his arms.

Great, it worked.

Now I could relax a little. The dead-ending route ‘Aberration of Virtue’ had dropped to below 20%.

If I continued like this, I could successfully enter the new route.

Stretching my stiff body after being held for so long, I saw Adrian stamping the last document. As he set the papers down, he stretched his arms just as I did.

<Event ‘Interception Preparation’ has been completed!>

  • Progress: 100%
  • Once the capture target ‘Lucius’ gives orders, a new event can begin.

Wow, it’s finally done.

Pausing mid-stretch, I stared at the system window filling my vision. The event, which had been stuck at 99% for so long, had finally reached completion.

Adrian, appearing relieved, stretched after me. Although his expression remained unreadable as he worked through the documents, he must have been exhausted as well.

Approaching him, I asked, “So, we’re fully prepared now?”

“Yes, everything is ready.”

“You worked hard.”

Adrian smiled gently as he answered. Hearing that everything was finished, I lowered my head and pressed a kiss to his forehead before pulling away.

He furrowed his brows slightly, as if dissatisfied.

I had no intention of touching him, feeling sorry for him staying up every night without proper sleep. But Adrian, unaware of my thoughts, grabbed my head.

As he pulled me in and our lips met, I bit his lip upon seeing his pale complexion. Adrian furrowed his brows and pulled back.

“What’s wrong?”

“Not now. Get some rest first.”

I coldly spoke as I pushed away Adrian’s hand that was trailing up my waist.

“I don’t need rest. I’m used to this much—”

“No arguments. Go back to your room and get some proper sleep.”

He should take a look at his own face before saying that.

His face was so pale that even his heated desire cooled down. He should at least recognize that.

Adrian frowned and glared at me, as if he thought I was rejecting him. Seeing his face filled with dissatisfaction, I let out a laugh in disbelief.

That’s a new expression.

It’s cute, but still, no.

“I said no.”

“If I go back to my room, will you come with me?”

With a voice filled with laughter, Adrian asked, following my lead. As I thought about it, I recalled Lucius constantly coming to Adrian’s office, searching for me.

“Do you think Lucius will stand still if I enter a room with you?”

When there was the excuse of working, Lucius reluctantly backed off. But without that excuse, there was no way he’d just leave quietly.

Not just Lucius, but Dion and Dietrich wouldn’t stay still either.

I wrapped my arms around Adrian’s shoulders and rested my chin on his head as I pondered. The moment I hugged him from behind, Adrian immediately quieted down.

As I slumped against his shoulder, I found it odd that he wasn’t responding, so I called his name.

“Adrian?”

“…Ah, yes.”

Adrian responded, but his tone was lower than usual.

Is he feeling unwell?

I tried to check his condition by pushing against his shoulders and pulling away, but Adrian held onto me tightly, making me lean against him again.

“Adrian, can you let go?”

“I’ll just rest here.”

Adrian declared as he got up from his seat.

I had no issue with him resting here, but why wasn’t he letting go of my arm?

Dragged along by Adrian, I ended up being pulled to the sofa.

“Wait, why am I being dragged along when you’re the one resting?”

After seating me first, Adrian sprawled across my lap.

“Hey, Adrian?”

“I’m resting, as you suggested. Don’t talk to me.”

Resting his head on my thighs, Adrian firmly wrapped his arms around my waist and closed his eyes. When I tried to shift, he held me even tighter to prevent me from moving.

Wow, unbelievable.

Watching his satisfied lips curve into a smirk, I sighed in disbelief and grabbed his hair.

If it had been anyone else but Adrian using me as a pillow without permission, I would have yanked out all their hair.

Releasing my grip, I sighed and gently stroked his hair.

Since he had been working without sleep, he must have been exhausted. I decided to let it slide this time.

With a generous heart, I forgave Adrian. As expected, he must have been truly tired, as he soon fell into deep sleep, his breathing evening out.

<Entering Adrian’s route ‘End of Waiting.’>

  • This route allows multiple captures.

<‘End of Waiting’>

  • Progress: 100%

<Adrian’s capture has been completed!>

<The probability of entering the Reverse Harem Ending has significantly increased!>

  • Captured Characters: 6/6

<Charm has reached its maximum.>

  • Current Charm: 200 (Maximum)

<All characters have been captured.>

  • All captured routes can now be viewed.
  • Hidden Ending Entry Event, ‘Multiple Captures,’ has been unlocked.
  • Affection of all capture targets will no longer decrease.

Yes, people should be generous at heart.

As I alternated between looking at Adrian’s sleeping face and the system window, I thought.

Being magnanimous must have touched Adrian’s heart so much that I completed his capture route even while asleep.

Even the weight on my lap felt satisfying when considering the system window.

<Hidden Ending Essential Event ‘Multiple Captures’ is now available.>

  • Would you like to enter?

I had been nodding contentedly when another system window popped up. I calmly nodded again.

Of course, I had to enter.
